Hello Again,

Following up on my previous questions regarding Mu waves, I made another attempt at recording Mu from my head.  This time I was more careful about the location of the electrodes and about noting the moments when I was relaxing versus when I was thinking about moving my limbs.

In analyzing the EEG recordings, I think that I was successful in seeing my Mu waves.  The signals were small, but they seem to be present.  I've documented what I found here:

I am still very interested to hear if anyone else has been successful in recording their Mu waves...how did you do it?

Again, I would appreciate any suggestions that you might have!

Hi All,

I'm interested in brain-computer interfaces (BCIs).  I'm working with the OpenEEG system (from Olimex) as well as a custom system that I've built.

Currently, I'm aiming to build a BCI based on looking for Mu-waves from the sensorimotor cortex.  This is a fairly standard technique...for those who might not be familiar, I've written some background here:

My question is: have any of you been successful in recording Mu waves?  Where did you put your reference electrode and where did you put your "bias" (or "ground") electrode?
