Hey, everyone, I'm new at the bioelectronics thing.  I'm mostly industrial and radio, though the hyperdimensional capabilities of the human brain intrigue me to no end.  Therefore - it took no real decision-making to come to the conclusion that I want a means to see what's under the skullcap without opening my head up to the world.  While I hear it can be done, it's usually not a good idea to DIY a look at the grey matter.

I scored a load of op amps, TL-072 and a few others, and I've had a little luck seeing an ECG signal with a badly-built instrumentation amplifier, and I hear it can be done with EEG signals, too.  It was done before op amps were widely available, but information on this subject is incredibly difficult to find, and the instrumentation amplifier chips are a little too rich for me right now.  Why spend $15 on a chip when the function can be nearly duplicated and possibly improved using some chips I scored for 10 for a buck.  Offtrack here, I would like to build an ECG-driven broach that lights up with the wearer's pulse.

I intend to use op amps to detect and amplify EEG signals so that I can see them on a computer strip-chart recorder, or other purposes I've not thunk up yet, possibly involving neurofeedback.

Any help with legacy circuitry will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance :)
