How can I define the lattice structure?

Dear Steven and MPB's users,
I want to calculate the band diagram and waveguide of the photonic crystal slabs with noncircular holes (square holes, or triangular holes, ...) by using MPB program. Could you let me know how can I define their structure in MPB program.
