Hello again! I successfully build scigraphica and all dependencies on my gentoo-box by manually specifying the python-numeric path. It starts but there are major problems then prevent it from being usable. I noticed so far(random order): *** the file chooser behaves a bit strange: The directories and files seems to be represented by an editable lable or something similar; clicking them creates a blinking cursor but it doesn't accept any input. Why don't you use the new gtk+ filechooser? *** Importing an ascii-datafile (which was exported from origin) seems to confuse the worksheet editor: Clicking a cell (to change the value) and selecting another one creates an error in the first cell - even if you didn't change anything. Importing another ascii-file leads to a crash or makes it hanging There are some pango-warnings, but nothing else: (scigraphica:5834): Pango-WARNING **: Invalid UTF-8 string passed to pango_layout_set_text() (scigraphica:5834): Pango-WARNING **: Invalid UTF-8 string passed to pango_layout_set_text() (scigraphica:5834): Pango-WARNING **: Invalid UTF-8 string passed to pango_layout_set_text() *** changing anything concerning the columns in the worksheet-editor leads to a crash: - e.g. right-clicking the column, (column properties), don't change anything, clicking cancel My system: - python 2.4.1 - gtk+-2.6.4 - glib-2.6.3 Ciao, Olaf
