Actually, I though I set it back to numarray to avoid compatibility 
issues. it turns out that I've found a way to overcome the bug in 
numarray, and anyway, the latest numarray version fixed it. If I left 
any dependencies pointing at numeric instead of numarray, we have to 
change them.

PS: Sorry for the late appearance in te list, but I switched jobs and I 
just moved to Santa Barbara, CA. I'm back to work, and planning to
