Yes, it got out, this is the third time we've seen it.
I suspect that you didn't get any replies because this isn't
really a Smoothwall issue. I'm not a gamer so I don't know
what you plan to host behind this. Perhaps some more details
about you goals would be useful.

The best answer to the first bit would be 'probably' (best guess).
As you don't specify exactly the desired effect is you're in a bit
of a grey area. Looking at the script and output, it does do what
you suggest. My personal opinion would be try it and see what happens.
Print the iptables list before and afterwards then compare the two
for unexpected holes. Next challenge for you is to determine where
you put a call to this script inside rc.firewall.up
