Connecting to smoothwall with IE

Hello list, I am able to administer smoothwall from Linux using the Opera web browser but when I try to connect to smoothwall from any other computer on my LAN using windows and Internet explorer it will not connect giving a message about the host can not be found. Am I missing something silly ? Any help is appreciated.
