prelude-manager actions

Hello,


I am new to prelude.
Is it possible in the prelude-manager to execute actions (exec a  
program/script)
at specific events?
For instance one wants to send an sms alert for high alert levels.

The smtp hook can (conditionally) send emails, in fact i.s.o. smtp
some program should be callable.
