I just installed 1.9.16 on VMware Server 2.0.2, and still no drive found 
with LSILogic virtual SCSI. BusLogic virtual SCSI works fine, although 
the BusLogic driver is intended for use with older Windows guests.

As mentioned previously, lspci shows:
00:10.0 SCSI storage controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic 53c1030 PCI-X 
Fusion-MPT Dual Ultra320 SCSI (rev 01)
for this device with (Centos 5.4) kernel 2.6.18-164.11.1.el5.

According to http://communities.vmware.com/thread/201876, the 
differences are minor and only apply during device driver loading, so 
i/o speed should not be affected, although the VMware Best Practice 
document suggests that the LSI Logic SCSI Controller is the better 
performing one.

Note that BusLogic is usually associated with older Windows versions 
(2k), and LSILogic with newer ones ('03,'08). I don't know how these 
relate to Linux. VMware does recommend LSILogic for use with later 
RedHat distros though.

I think it would be best if IPCop supported the LSILogic driver. Is 
there anything I can do to help in this regard?
