  'lo Everyone,

Mostly an FYI about the start up of RED interface during RC.UPDATERED
which yields functional failure overall for IPCOP v1.9.20

1) I just upgraded from IPCOP v1.9.19 to v1.9.20 via the GUI/Web. Upon
reboot, network services*1 failed

2) During start up /etc/rc.d/* I noticed a handful of errors regarding
[/etc/rc.d/rc.updatered]
Mostly about syntax errors, missing semicolons, and the like
starting at rc.updatered line(172)

--this looks to be a section added to support NTOP. After commenting
this entire section out, I was able to reboot IPCOP v1.9.20 and regain
network accessibility. I do not yet know the full impact to NTOP and
related capabilities.

(Network services): meaning (routing and/or IP Forwarding)
1) Pings from LAN(green) to WAN(red) or internet FAILed
2) Pings from WAN(red) to external (internet web sites) PASSed
3) External access to LAN(green) resources are seen (TCPDUMP) at the
WAN(red) interface but not internally

[MY SEARCH FOR THE ERRORS] & why I couldn't copy/paste precise error details.
grep -r "semicolon" /var/log/*
