so.. after some additional thought on the matter...
I don't want to sound like I'm calling v1.9.20 a failure.. that wasn't
my intent.  apologies if it came off as such.

I did install the NTOP plugin(several months and reboots ago) .. which
may have added the section to rc.updatered --which may have init'd the
fail during the upgrade/reboot.

 if I inadvertently did so, I apologize.
