No problem, as we do not use the in-kernel version anyway.
Looks like newer kernel versions (3.10+) come with an up-to-date 
solos-pci driver.

Yes, worked properly.
Special version of the ADSL firmware is required to deal with the Annex 
version we run here in Germany.
