If I remember correctly you are in Annex M territory?

By the way, I'm one of those people here whose ADSL does not require PPPoE. 
My connection is simply DHCP and it needs no authentication. I have been 
running modems in bridge mode and dhcp on red type in setup which in this 
case simply means that the mac address of the red nick is what they grant 
the dhcp request to. The issue with any of the pci adsl modems is that while 
I need some of that info, I can see where both the solos and pulsar need 
another entry below the static ip for dhcp much like some of the other 
modems have. As far as authentication, either it can be optional, have a 
radio button to disable it or just do what I have done with some of the 
older cellular modems from ten years ago where it did not need the user name 
nor password so I put fake info in to satisfy the setup. Funny I should 
mention this now when 2.1.1 is at RC1. 

My ISP itself is supposed to be supporting bonded adsl but that in itself is 
rather vague. I need more data. The regions that have bonded are in PPPoE 
territory whereas the Pacific Northwest has always been DHCP with the last 
two. GTE to Verizon West to Frontier. At least the new company has been 
doing massive upgrades. I think it's a tossup between Bonded ADSL or VDSL as 
some regions have VDSL instead.

I have my Solos sitting in one of my Symantec 5420's and updated to the 
latest firmware several days ago. It's quite easy to do this. Modprobe the 
driver with extra parameters and it finds the firmware in /lib/firmware. It 
took quite a while on the quad port but it finished successfully. As soon as 
I finish my wall jack to have one port for each twisted pair in my computer 
room I'll be able to test it.
