Hint: the hpsa module is already in the shipped kernel and if so figure out why it doesn't get loaded or if it fails on loading. Without doing this there is no reason to even look at building anything. Adding things to IPCop is not Linux 101 but the information on doing this is already documented on the IPCop website but you have to read it and understand it. Sometimes study existing build scripts to see how certain things were done. It also helps to know if the in kernel driver source is more up to date than the stuff you downloaded from heaven only knows where. This is part of doing your homework. Adding out of kernel drivers to IPCop to be part of the build is not a casual exercise, especially if you don't yet know your way around an installed IPCop system such as how to find what is already in the shipped kernel. IPCop uses a small handful of out of kernel drivers where they do not exist in the kernel tree or in the case of Intel nics, there may be a better version out of tree. -- Dave Studeman http://www.raqcop.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download BIRT iHub F-Type - The Free Enterprise-Grade BIRT Server from Actuate!
