Of real importance is to specify 64 bit what? I'm sure everyone knows what 
is meant but in the past IPCop did in fact have an Alpha port. It was sad to 
see Compaq let Alpha die like that. There was supposed to be a Sparc and PPC 
port with 2.x but that would require someone with the hardware, time, and 
knowledge to take it on. The 32 bit x86 version is more than enough work for 
those who are actively developing it now. 

With the state of things, everyone including Apple seems to have given in to 
the pc overlords to a degree and replaced the bios with efi from Itanium. 
Still do not know why Apple didn't just use Itanium since they were changing 
platforms anyway? At Boeing we have had or still have IBM S390 mainframes 
that are modern, not old relics, the S390 uses 64 bit PPC for the heavy 
lifting and Intel processors for only io. I heard rumors of stickers affixed 
that said Intel inside but not in charge.
