Please confirm that the router gives an IP address via DHCP to IPCop's RED interface. If so, have you tried using a static RED IP address? Presumably you aren't expecting the router to give an IP to anything else? Is there in fact anything else connected to the IPCop---router network? Have you tried switching on the devices in a different order?
