Once. Got it installed using Dave's write up. I have that, still, somewhere, I think. Quite happy with it, except for one thing. On one port, RED, the "link light" LED goes dark, once it negotiates a 100 (or is it 1000 ?) link and IPCop initializes the port. Functions fine, otherwise apparently. It happens on the other ports as well, proven by swapping ports. It's a known issue. Netgate was, as stated on their site, essentially uninterested in supporting. I did find a fellow whose company does a commercial product based on this board, who, of necessity, hacked the BIOS of the board to fix this "defect". A simple one byte alteration. I do have a copy of the procedure to re-flash the board and a copy of the binary code (binary ONLY!, no source! due to his NDA with vendor), but have not applied it. I have no reason to suspect it will not work, I simply have too many family and other issues to get at it. I'll see if I can get in touch with him for other sources of the board/kit as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ IPCop-user mailing list [email protected] Manage your subscription or unsubscribe https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/ipcop-user
