Google fiber is coming to my neighborhood in the next year and I'm looking
for some appropriate low-power firewall hardware.

I bought a Ubiquiti Edge Router to replace my X64 hardware and I like the
size and power consumption but I really, really hate the UI. It runs
Debian/iptables in the background but I find the UI and it's focus on ACLs
awful. There's no way interface to use iptables directly. It uses a Cavium
MIPS64 CPU with custom OS drivers for network acceleration.

Has anyone ported IPCop to a MIPS64 platform? Or looked at moving the
scripts and webpage stuff to Debian from LFS so I could keep the OS/network
drivers the same?

I'd appreciate any thoughts or ideas.

Frank
