Position: Security Engineer
Location: St. Paul, Minnesota, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2008-07-20
As part of the software development team this individual will be a focal point for escalated customer support issues.
Responsibilities
This role includes coordinating all support/maintenance activities and working directly with system test, customer support, and end users to troubleshoot, debug, and recreate software problems. Once an issue has been isolated candidate will be responsible for working with the development team to create and release a software fix for the issue. This may include personally coding the changes or coordinating with the rest of the development team to get changes scheduled and coded if an intermediate fix is not possible.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Position requires strong communication skills with interest/background in software development and test using C, C++, and Java.
Candidate must be able to work in a multi-vendor OS environment including setup and administration of major third party platforms such as Microsoft Windows 2000/2003, Linux, and Solaris.
Must have basic networking background including familiarity with Internet protocols and technologies such as HTTP, HTTPS, XML, and Javascript as well as basic understanding of user authentication technologies such as LDAP and Active Directory.
A basic understanding of SQL and SQL database technologies is a plus.
