Position: Security Consultant
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2008-07-21
The Application Security Consultant role is critical to providing security assessment services. The Application Security Consultant is responsible for performing all components of security assessments for clients. The tasks performed within this position include client profiling, security assessment, vulnerability verification, report preparation, and communications of findings and recommendations to the client.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

This position requires:
• Bachelors or Master's degree in Engineering, Math, or Science degrees is preferred
• IT experience working as an application programmer or other similar role is required
o 3 years of Application development experience with one or more of the following:
 Java
 C#
 Visual Basic (VB.Net)
 ColdFusion
 Perl
 PHP
 SQL
 Python
• Experience performing application code reviews using manual and automated code analysis tools is preferred
• Understanding of SQL databases (i.e. SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
• Understanding of HTTP and HTML protocol
• Motivation and ability to learn quickly
• Able to work independently as well as on multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills are mandatory
• Good business acumen and a strong customer orientation
• Able to deal well with ambiguity
• Action oriented
• Ability to carry out work with a high degree of integrity
• Ability to conduct independent research and analysis
• Able to creatively solve business problems on the fly
• Certifications like CISSP or CEH are desirable
