Position: Software Engineer
Location: St. Paul, Minnesota, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2008-07-21
We currently have an opening for a Software Engineer in our St. Paul, Minnesota office. This position requires a unique mix of skills, including familiarity operating in a software manufacturing environment.
Resposibilities
Design, implement and maintain application programs.
Develop customized software applications for internal processes.
SQL Server backend database development including stored procedures.
Coordinate application integration with team members.
Install, configure, upgrade and performance tune programs.
Build scripting tools to help automate processes.
Document programs.
Interface with customers, vendors, and management to ensure that processes meet targeted results.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Ability to work under deadlines in a real-time manufacturing environment.
3+ years of experience programming using Visual Basic, VB.Net, Access, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Bachelor of Computer Science/Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
Candidates must also have experience identifying, analyzing and solving complex software problems and have utilized computer applications to streamline a process/improve efficiency.
Analyze and evaluate existing application programs.
Develop tools to help increase productivity.
Design and develop new or enhanced applications to support manufacturing needs.
Analyze manufacturing problems and develop applications that optimize the technology.
Debug, analyze and correct application problems and issues.
