Position:       Application Security Architect
Location:       St. Paul, Minnesota, United States
Type:           Permanent F/T

We are currently looking for a Solutions Architect for our Web Solutions Group in our St. Paul, Minnesota office. For this role, we seek a highly collaborative, persuasive and passionate professional with a history in professional services, research and development, technical presales and technical support. This individual must demonstrate proven ability to work very closely with both development and sales organizations as well as directly with customers and partners.
The Solutions Architect is a key member of our team and a vital cog in our opportunity pursuit, solution design, and solution delivery. The Solution Architect is the person most responsible for conceptualizing the innovative solutions for which Secure Computing is known. Our Solution Architects have a unique set of skills that span the technical and management consulting spectrum, pre-sales and IT operations; they are looked to by other team members for thought and team leadership.ResponsibilitiesThe solutions architect is responsible for conceiving and communicating the overall design of the solution. Serving as a bridge between the business and technical communities, the solution architect speaks each group's language and understands each group's priorities. This is a new position which means responsibilities are still being evaluated and defined. 

Known responsibilities for this role include, but are not be limited to:

Gathering requirements, developing use cases, and fully understanding the client's business needs and constraints.
Envisioning the high-level solution, ensuring that it will meet the requirements, and validating the appropriateness of the solution with the client.
Expressing the solution in terms of deliverables that can be estimated and prioritized.
Identifying key technical risks and creating mitigation plans.
Providing mentorship for other team members.
Working with sales managers and practice managers to position and propose solutions to clients and prospects.
Work closely with the General Manager of the practice to grow revenues within existing accounts.
Driving thought leadership within the marketplace by developing industry leading educational deliverables relevant to the web content management domain.
Create and deliver technical presentations that communicate the value proposition, usage scenario, and competitive advantages of new features as they are developed and perform through internal and external Webex sessions for technical sales and channel audiences.
Continuously monitor technical product presentations for improvements and collect feedback on effectiveness through in-person meetings and concalls/webexs with customers/partners/prospects.
Liaise with sales leadership in strategic account development and support for strategic/large opportunities.
Work closely with Product Marketing on specific campaigns and project to support technical aspects of strategic marketing , market awareness, and lead generation.
Monitor features accounts for issues and feedback from customers and assure that responses are provided.



JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor&#146;s degree in Marketing, Business, or Information Technology, similar field or equivalent.
At least 10+ years experience within hardware and/or software industry. 
Experience and background in consulting services, technical support, pre-sales and R&D.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, customer-focused, and one that can work well with others within the marketing and engineering organizations as well as interdepartmentally, and can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to technically use the product in a live environments and webex demonstrations.
An understanding of IT security and network infrastructures and experience with information security technologies including anti-virus, firewalls, etc.
Ability to refine complex problems down to clearly defined issues and recommendations as well as ability to draw objective conclusions that can be substantiated with well reasoned arguments- particularly when supporting data is sparse.
Skilled with MS Office applications, public speaking, and project management.
This position will require travel on a frequent basis within the US and on occasion may involve international travel.
