CygnaCom Solutions is currently looking for a System Engineer to join our team in San Antonio, Texas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide technical and engineering support to the U.S. Air Force System Program Office for the implementation of the Department of Defense Public Key Infrastructure.
- Provide technical support for the PK-Enabling of U.S. Air Force applications.
- Provide technical support for the developmental and operational testing of PK-Enabled applications.
- Provide support in San Antonio, TX.  Some travel may be required.



JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Education, Experience and Specialized Skills:

A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 

Security Requirement: U.S. Citizenship and final SECRET security clearance (maintained for the life of the contract).

Required Experience (in order of priority):

- Demonstrated ability to work both as a team member and alone with minimal technical supervision.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows & UNIX) and networking principles.
- Experience in the development of requirements, test plans, execution of tests, and documentation of results.
- Four years general experience in system-level structured analysis, design, and documentation of computer software applications.
- Experience with legacy application integration.

Desired Experience:  

- Prior experience with public key infrastructure (PKI).
- Certifications: MCP, MCSE, CNA, CISSP, Java.
- Prior U. S. military service.
