Must be clearable to the Top Secret level. =0D =0D • Must develop and implement documentation outlining system operatin= g environment, to include the overall mission, floor layout, hardware con= figuration, software, type of information processed, user organizations a= nd security clearances, operating mode, interconnections to other systems= /networks of users, their security personnel, and associated responsibili= ties; =0D • Assist in the development and maintenance of the overall system se= curity document, the Information System Security Plan, which contains all= necessary security procedures, instructions, operating plans, and guidan= ce; =0D • Participate in the development or revision of System-specific secu= rity safeguards and local operating procedures that are based on the abov= e regulations; =0D • Provide IT security consulting to system owners as to the other se= curity documents, for example, security incident reports, equipment/softw= are inventories, operating instructions, technical vulnerability reports,= and contingency plans; and =0D • Provide expertise in classified and unclassified ratings to custom= ers. =0D • Work closely with Certifiers to navigate the TSA Certification & A= ccreditation process and produce all appropriate accreditation documentat= ion =0D • Attend monthly ISSO training course at TSA Headquarters =0D • Perform monthly vulnerability assessment scans of assigned systems= using Tenable Nessus=20 JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- The ISSO is the principal point of contact for information assurance acti= vities at the IT system level. The ISSO is responsible for ensuring that = management; operational and technical controls for securing either Nation= al Security Systems or SBU level IT Systems are in place and are followed= . This includes ensuring that appropriate steps are taken to implement in= formation security requirements for IT systems throughout their life cycl= e, from the requirements definition phase through disposal. =0D =0D The ISSO shall possess strong communication, effective interpersonal and = presentation skills as he/she operates in a client-facing role. It is pre= ferred that this person be a current Certified Information Systems Securi= ty Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), o= r possess a similar security professional certification. Strong relevant = experience and education can substitute for these certifications. Bachelo= r's Degree preferred. Must possess 2 years of relevant IA experience with= a Bachelors degree, 4 years with no degree.
