n Architect - Emebedded Systems.  Candidate needs to be based in Wind Riv=
er's corporate headquarters in Alameda, CA.=0D

The Test Automation Architect is a member of the VxWorks Certified Platfo=
rms Quality team whose primary responsibility is to design and develop au=
tomation tools to mitigate software quality issues associated with the de=
sign, production and release of the VxWorks Certified Platforms products.=
=0D
=0D
The Test Automation Architect is responsible for the technical direction =
and architecture of the automation framework. This person works closely w=
ith Product Management, Configuration Management, Development, Technical =
Publications, Quality Assurance, and Support team members to determine te=
sting requirements and to identify the tools needed to provide efficient =
testing throughout the lifecycle.  =0D

Responsibilities:=0D
- Work with build teams and configuration management processes to automat=
e the build acceptance test process to ensure only quality builds are rel=
eased into testing.=0D
- Determine best methods to generate, track, store, restore and utilize t=
est data.=0D
- Validate development unit testing procedures and test cases to ensure a=
dequate unit test coverage.=0D
- Investigate and suggest code coverage validation techniques and tools.=0D
- Design, architect and implement automated test solutions for regression=
, load, performance and system testing.=0D
- Participate in the review and selection of tools and technologies to op=
timize existing quality practices and recommend where these might be used=
 to improve quality process and test automation tools infrastructure.=0D
- Represent and promote quality engineering and quality assurance methods=
, processes and procedures.=0D
- Work independently by scheduling tasks, meeting project deliverables an=
d reporting status to management.=0D

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:=0D
- US citizen or permanent resident of the US=0D
- Minimum of 7 years experience in software product quality assurance / d=
evelopment with an emphasis on test automation =0D
- Interactive and scripting languages such as Perl, Expect, Python or TCL=
.=0D
- Experience (5 years) using scripting languages to develop tools to assi=
st in development, deployment and testing efforts.=0D
- Experience (2-3 years) programming with C.=0D
- Understanding of basic Operating System internals, such as scheduling, =
IO, memory management and various bus architectures=0D
- Minimum of a BS degree in technology related field (equivalent experien=
ce will be considered).=0D
=0D
Additional Desired Skills:=0D
- Experience (5 years) designing and implementing test automation for emb=
edded software using commercial test automation tools from companies such=
 as Segue or Mercury =0D
- Experience working with geographically distributed development and qual=
ity assurance teams=0D
- Familiarity with VxWorks=0D
- Familiarity with the Common Criteria, especially EAL6=0D
- Familiarity with DO-178B or IEC 61508 certification standards=0D
- Familiarity with MILS (Multiple Independent Levels of Security)	=0D
