Evaluating security threats in relation to local systems & communicating =
potential information security issues to appropriate groups. =0D

Maintain automated information technology security and compliance monitor=
ing and reporting mechanisms. =0D

Analyze log files, and report breaches including potential solutions; mon=
itor network traffic activity; assist technical staff in troubleshooting =
and resolving network security issues.=0D
=0D
Assist with and conduct security assessments of IT infrastructure =0D
=0D
Effectively communicate recommendations in concise verbal and written for=
mats.=0D
=0D
Demonstrate competency in the following areas of security: =0D
Network Security =0D
Operating System Security =0D
=0D
Monitor Intrusion Detection, firewalls, and other security components.=0D
=0D
Incident Response =0D
=0D
Collect, summarize, and chronologically document security event informati=
on =0D
=0D
Mentor peers in new techniques, tools and other job skills. =0D



JOB REQUIREMENTS

3 plus years related experience =0D
College degree preferred.=0D
=0D
CISSP, MCSE, GIAC certifications desired but not required (CISSP required=
 within 2 years of hire)=0D
=0D
A solid understanding of perimeter and internal security monitoring of th=
e IT environment.=0D
=0D
Experience with intrusion detection/protection systems and security enter=
prise management systems.=0D
=0D
Experience of identifying, monitoring and investigating computer and netw=
ork intrusions.=0D
=0D
Experience in computer security incident response.=0D
=0D
Demonstrated ability to conduct vulnerability testing and analysis of com=
puters and networks.=0D
=0D
Strong administrative & operational knowledge of operating systems securi=
ty. =0D
=0D
Knowledge of TCP/IP, networking design, routing architectures, network se=
curity systems and protocols.=0D
=0D
Network Access Control (NAC) experiences a plus.=0D
