Dear Tim Mapes, It's not SMTP attack. It's attempt to use open HTTP proxy for spam message relaying. You can try 3scan http://www.security.nnov.ru/soft/ to test if it's possible to relay message via given HTTP proxy and you'll get approximately same records in your logs. --Friday, April 1, 2005, 7:46:57 PM, you wrote to [email protected]: TM> Has anyone seen this showing up in there SMTP server logs? As such, using an Anti-Virus product which automatically notifies the perceived sender of a message it believes is infected may well cause more harm than good. Someone who did not actually send you a virus may receive the notification and scramble their support staff to find an infection which never existed in the first place. Suggest such notifications be disabled by whomever is responsible for your AV, or at least that the idea is considered. --
