You're right.  For each connection from the client, a key exhange is taking
place and a new connection is established - this does indeed take a while.
Zebedee is best used with protocols that keep the tcp connection open all
the time or as long as possible (IMAP4 connections for example)

This is something which Neil, the programmer, has commented on also, but I
think he never got to fixing the protocol in that regard.

By the way, Neil, are you still with us?  Work on ZBD has stopped and
haven't seen you comment on the list either...
