How to control Connection timeout?

Hello Everyone,

We are trying to use the excellent Zebedee in a rather critical
environment.
We have one problem though. For us it is important that the Zebedee
client returns
and reports an error quickly in case of some failure.
It seems like the connection timeout (used when the client cannot reach
the server host at all)
is set to 76 seconds, which is far too much to us.

I have tried all the different timeout directives in the config file
(tcptimeout, readtimeout, connectimeout ...)
but none of them seems to affect this one.
Is there a way to do it today? If not, could this feature be added?

Here is how it looks like in the log when the target host fails to
respond:
zebedee(13022/2): 2003-09-15-09:49:37: client routine entered
zebedee(13022/2): 2003-09-15-09:49:37: client on local port <lport>
tunnels to target <host>:<rport>
zebedee(13022/2): 2003-09-15-09:49:37: target address is 00000000
zebedee(13022/2): 2003-09-15-09:49:37: making connection to
<host>:<zport>
zebedee(13022/2): 2003-09-15-09:50:53: ERROR: can't connect to <host>
port <zport>: (Connection timed out)
