You really need to read the "listenmode" and "clienthost" sections in the manual, and how these interact with the "connecttimeout" parameter. Unless you have "fresh" connections from the client within in the connecttimeout value, the server will exit once any currently active connections have been closed. Yes, several people have asked for a change in how this is behaves. Yes, I'll add it in the next release (to allow the server to keep retrying connections back to the client).
