bzip and win32

Hi list, new guy with questions here...

My thanks to the developers for a very cool tool that fills a lot of gaps
quite nicely, at least for me.

In setting up local testing between XP and 98SE, I began looking through the
manual on compression and I'll try to stay to the Zebedee application of
same and avoid the semantics of compression itself.

1. Is the present devel release of Win32 binary installer built up with bzip
and / or bzip2 included at all? The docs make reference to both and then to
the inclusion by build, where those of us using binaries would benefit to
know the package setup on this question, (hoping I haven't overlooked it
somewhere).

2. Perhaps there's a chance that Bzip1 or 2 are in the package, but I'm not
finding evidence of that in the install directory so please verify if that
would be a Zebedee install of libraries or the user's choice on the system
to be included and configured?

3. If the binary core has either Bzip1 or 2 available but the libraries need
to be furnished, is that a matter of dropping the libraries on the install
directory and laying in the environment variables, or not, perhaps by
installer at bzip install time, or other?

4. And last, does anybody know of a way to monitor or confirm live, at
run-time or by log file, that a given compression is engaged, actually in
use and at the indicated level in the config files, without hooking in a
debugger? Maybe a benchmark tool someone knows of that Zebedee will show up
it?

Thanks much in advance, for any information.

Mike
