Compile problem

Hello 

trying to compile version zebedee 2.5.3
with
gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809)
on Suse 9.2 64

using

make OS=linux64

resulting in :

gcc -pthread -m64 -Wall -O3  -I.  /usr/include/openssl
    -c -o zebedee.o zebedee.c
gcc: cannot specify -o with -c or -S and multiple
compilations
make: *** [zebedee.o] Error 1


What do I have to do to overcome this ?
