Port-sharing

Zebedee is a useful tool for reaching services blocked by a firewall.  Where I work, for example, I can only reach ports 80 and 443, and running a Zebedee server on one of those ports would give me access to the rest.  However, I already have Apache running on both ports.

I've written a simple Python script to work around this.  I've reconfigured Apache to listen on port 444, and my script listens on port 443.  If the connecting client looks like Zebedee it's forwarded to port 11965, otherwise it's forwarded to port 444.

It seems to me that this kind of port-sharing is desirable, and should be part of Zebedee, but I don't have the necessary skills to create a patch.  Is there anyone out there who does, and agrees that this should be a feature of Zebedee?
