Category: Interface Improvements Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Easier Linking Initial Comment: Great 1.0 Release! Linking to other entries is very tiresome. Even with the Wiki Syntax Plugin it just does not get much easier. I would love to see a fast and very short way of linking to other entries. This is usefull especially for very nested content. Idea 1: Event Plugin for Backend, that shows an "Insert intelligent link" button in both text editing areas when writing a new entry or editing one. A click on it opens a popup with a list of all entries published so far. As soon as you have chosen an entry, it enters the link code to the textarea the button was assigned to. Contras for Idea 1: A: Not compatible with WYSIWYG Editors, B: Popups, mouse usage, extra loading time BUT: Very easy to use Idea 2: Eventplugin that adds a completely additional syntax, that works in conjunction with the other Syntax plugins (is this difficult to realise?). Then there could be a Syntax like [[WORD_I_WANT_2B_CLICKABLE|ID_of_linked_entry]]. Yes, I know, it is Wiki style syntax, but with the tweat of only needing the ID of the linked entry. That would speed up linking a lot. Cons: Not as pretty as the popup, maybe difficult to realise in addition to the other syntaxes ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=542825&aid=1507111&group_id=75065
