Category: Installer/Upgrader Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: clean install complains about charset and language Initial Comment: On SLES 10, using php 5.1.2 and mysql 5.0.18. After running the installer for v1.2 and setting: $serendipity['defaultTemplate'] = 'bulletproof'; $serendipity['production'] = 'debug'; in serendipity_config.inc.php I get these errors: Notice: Undefined index: charset in /home/dev3/public_html/serendipity/include/compat.inc.php on line 228 Notice: Undefined index: useTemplateLanguage in /home/dev3/public_html/serendipity/include/lang.inc.php on line 13 Notice: Use of undefined constant CHARSET_NATIVE - assumed 'CHARSET_NATIVE' in /home/dev3/public_html/serendipity/serendipity_config.inc.php on line 162 Notice: Undefined variable: false in /home/dev3/public_html/serendipity/serendipity_config.inc.php on line 201 Notice: Undefined index: useTemplateLanguage in /home/dev3/public_html/serendipity/include/lang.inc.php on line 13 Changing the template doesn't seem to matter. Turning off debug just puts me at a blank screen with no errors showing of any kind in the apache or server logs. The only thing that got serendipity to work was to comment out the includes for include/lang.inc.php then things seem to load ok. Any ideas what's happening here? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Garvin Hicking (garvinhicking) Date: 2007-10-25 20:29 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=473563 Originator: NO Hi! It's not meant to change the 'DefaultTemplate' string! This always needs to point to the serendipity 'default' template currently. The other errors look odd, might it be that some other files were also edited by you? Or maybe some missing files?
