Hi Don!
First of all, we need to know which Serendipity version you're trying to =
install.
Second, we detect it with a simple php script:
<?php
if (!function_exists('mysql_connect')) {
echo 'Error';
}
?>
Please try that script; then give us a URL to a <?php phpinfo(); ?> outpu=
t of
your script, there we can see in depth how the server is configured.
It's very strange that phpMyAdmin seems to work properly. Maybe you're us=
ing
mysqli for phpMyAdmin?
Regards,
Garvin
