There is now a small MachineConfigUpdate package on the site, which 
contains a console application with the logic to make these 
machine.config changes automatically.

This will be packaged with the next SourceID.NET release, but is 
provided as a separate source+binary package now for people to use and 
to provide feedback on.  You are welcome to test it - just delete the 
hand-added sections from your machine.config file before running, 
otherwise it won't do much.
