NO speech when browsing files

HI guys: OK Rockbox on my Sansa Zip 8gb now speaks the menus, but when browsing Files, nothing is spoken! I've voice-generated the drive D (drive assigned on my Laptop to the Sansa Zip) but nothing! I've checked under all the Settings under File with long press but nothing seems out of the ordinary!
