(Assuming you made a typo and left channel plays out of the right 
speaker.) Rockbox can't switch channels as far as I can tell, but maybe 
you have stereo width set to an extremely high value. Check Settings -> 
Sound Settings -> Stereo Width. It's 100% by default.

That's balance: Settings -> Sound Settings -> Balance. It's set to 0% by 
default.
