This made me grin.  Firstly, I'm not going to get a nickel out of the
company for upgrading my PC.  There's the whole Polotical Correctness
Environment which says 'If we can not do it for everybody then we can not do
it for one person.'  And then there's the 'slow revenue budget' issue which
is very real.  So, I'm talking about upgrading my work PC with my own money.

Secondly, She Who Must Be Obeyed would rather that we spent that money at
home.  Not for me to work more (at home), but for her to play more :-)  So a
laptop (to transport my work environment around with me) is probably a tough
sell.

I honestly believe that I hold the public record for the oldest hardware
trying to load WDSCi.  It would be very enlightening to hear about other
folks with PIII class machines and their experiences with it.

Oh, how I wish IBM would open source WDT 5.1 Code/400...  Sigh.
