> You can convince them Buck, I know it is in ya! :-) This made me grin. Firstly, I'm not going to get a nickel out of the company for upgrading my PC. There's the whole Polotical Correctness Environment which says 'If we can not do it for everybody then we can not do it for one person.' And then there's the 'slow revenue budget' issue which is very real. So, I'm talking about upgrading my work PC with my own money. Secondly, She Who Must Be Obeyed would rather that we spent that money at home. Not for me to work more (at home), but for her to play more :-) So a laptop (to transport my work environment around with me) is probably a tough sell. I honestly believe that I hold the public record for the oldest hardware trying to load WDSCi. It would be very enlightening to hear about other folks with PIII class machines and their experiences with it. Oh, how I wish IBM would open source WDT 5.1 Code/400... Sigh. --buck _______________________________________________ This is the CODE/400 Discussion & Support (CODE400-L) mailing list To post a message email: CODE400-L-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected] To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/code400-l or email: CODE400-L-request-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected] Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/code400-l.
