Buck was talking about a memory upgrade of $100 vs. a barebones PC for $200. A laptop is roughly ten times that price. Joe P.S. The second performance bottleneck for WDSCi after memory is disk speed. There is a significant difference between a 7200RPM drive and a 5400RPM drive. Haven't had a chance to try it out on a 10000RPM disk yet <grin>. _______________________________________________ This is the CODE/400 Discussion & Support (CODE400-L) mailing list To post a message email: CODE400-L-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected] To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/code400-l or email: CODE400-L-request-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected] Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/code400-l.
