Good point, Mike. "EVFWLX40.exe has caused errors. . ." This consistently happens when I select a source member on the 400 to open. WDSC 5.1. Os/400 V5R2. Windows 2000. Last time something like this happened, the TCP/IP stack was bad. I've already removed and reinstalled TCP. I have also checked to make sure I have the latest JVM.
