Hi Bill

You are right that crashes like this in CODE are usually caused by
communications.
There is a log that the CODE developers find very useful in resolving this.
In Win 2000 is is found the directory
C:\Program Files\IBM\Shared Files

The communications error log file is
FVDCERRS.log

The other files are the communications set up files.

If you send the contents of the EVFCERRS.log file, the CODE developer has
the best clue what went wrong.

Good point, Mike.

"EVFWLX40.exe has caused errors. . ."  This consistently happens when I
select a source member on the 400 to open.

WDSC 5.1.  Os/400 V5R2.  Windows 2000.

Last time something like this happened, the TCP/IP stack was bad.  I've
already removed and reinstalled TCP.  I have also checked to make sure I
have the latest JVM.
