Sorry, my print screen didn't come through.

In the security policy on the ID Vault tab there is a setting called
"Allow Notes-based programs to use the Notes ID Vault".

We turned this on to allow Traveler to be able to use the user's user.id
file attached to their mail file so users can open Domino encrypted email
in IBM Verse. Unfortunately we are still having issues that after a
password change either Traveler is not seeing the updated user.id file or
the id file is not getting synched to the mail file. I have two PMRs open

with IBM for this issue.

But maybe this will help with your issue.

Are you using the ID Vault? If so do you have a Security Policy that has
this setting enabled? If I remember right this is suppose to
automatically update the id file in the user's mail file.

Here's the issue:
I can easily send a signed email to someone in our domain.
Outside of our domain I get: "You have requested to sign this Internet
message, but your current ID does not contain or does not specify an
Internet certificate for signing. Select OK to send the message anyway.
Select Cancel to not send the message."

A totally separate issue is reading signed email in iNotes (fat client
works). What we're finding there is that there is often a really old copy

of the id in their email file. And iNotes has all sorts of cute buttons
to deal with these. Of course, none of them work. Known issue and you're

supposed to run an agent to remove them instead (active ticket still
open). Once you remove that id and reopen it pulls in a new copy of your
ID and allows you to read these.

And, obviously by the age of the link, they've known about it for quite
some time and apparently think it's up to the users to code their own
fixes. This is the link IBM used in my ticket.

Rob:

As I recall, the users' Notes ID must be in their mail file for signed and

encrypted email.

Then, when a signed message is received, they have to enter their Notes
password in order to read it.

I hope that this helps.
