You might want to look at the the services packs on the three PC's it
does not work on. I had this problem about two years
Ago and was the windows services packs that caused it.

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction with this
problem.  I'm installing the JBA Explorer June 1999 Edition on a fully
updated Windows XP laptop.  Actually, this has now happened twice.  I
have been installing the software for years so I'm very confident that
I'm installing it correctly.  However, when I go to do the System
Configuration portion of the installation I am getting the following
error:

 

"Runtime error '-2147417848 (80010108)';  Automation Error"

 

I've had problems with Service Pack 2 before but have gotten around it.
This is the first time I've ever had problems when Service Pack 2 has
been installed before the installation of JBA and it worked just fine.
It seems to be hit and miss.  I would like to be able to solve this
problem without having to reconfigure the whole machine.  

 

If you have any further questions, please let me know.
