Aggravating problem with MRP/MPS interface.

This is driving me crazy. Conceptually it looked straight forward. We wanted
to interface our in house developed Sales Forecast data into MPS/MRP.
(V3.5.2b)

 

We created an interface program that would create demand records in the
MS75ITEM file (MSP75) based on what was forecast. Based on the documentation
I have, that would appear to be enough but I can't get anything.

 

After doing a fair bit of research, I still don't understand why the MRP/MPS
extract is not creating appropriate demand in the MRP/MSP71 and MRP/MSP72
files. Although there are quite a few programs involved, it should be pretty
straight forward. 

 

In the JBA documentation it makes a reference that "the MRP run does not
extract forecast at this time" (doesn't bother to mention when it does !)
but I think I have that covered by submitting the MRP run with the "Review
Demand" flag set to "0". 

 

There is also reference to "Cell or Model based" running. I have not found
what that means.

 

Any pointers greatly appreciated.
