        Thanks for your feedback 
        In fact I cannot do maintenance through both AR & OE.
        I know it must be lnked to the invoice & statement address,
        but I cannot have the last word with this one.
        I have been running queries of the file & compared records of 
        customers for which there is no error, buty everything seems ok.

Guy,

You are trying to maintain a customer using customer maintenance in OE.
You can either amend the account through AR or use the OE maintenance
type 2 "Delivery Address" rather than invoice address.
