Mario- That looks like the best solution. My only concern would be how similar M2 and m2 are to the users. Also, remember that 1,000,000 m2 (square millimeters) = 1 M2 (square meters). An example would be a metric sheet metal part that is cut and bent based on the metric material required on the drawing.
