We use a tool call FastPass synch. The tool synchronizes the user's Windows AD password and the iSeries password. The program monitors for Windows AD password changes whether made using CTRL-ALT-DEL, an admin tool, or another method and then 'sends' the new password to our iSeries. We set the iSeries expiration to be slightly longer than Windows and then just manage from Windows. Works fairly well for our folks.
