IM - Transaction question

Hi board, I was hoping you could help me. My company has issued an immediate RM as soon as production has finished. However now we have the need (because of extra testing) to add another step to the process for testing after the product has been produced but before the finished product is available for sell. I would like to continue updating the inventory as soon as we finish production but what method or transaction code can I put the finished product into the computer without using an RM, My thought is a work in process transaction code and then move it to RM or something. Another idea was temp. warehouse and then do a warehouse move to the real warehouse (i didnt like this idea). I hope this makes sense.
